Sizing Guide
Ruanua Size Guide
Shopping online can be tricky, especially for an investment piece like new skiwear. See our below guide on how to measure yourself and our product size guide.
How to Measure Yourself
To find the best fit for Ruanua’s skiwear, follow these steps to take your measurements accurately. You’ll need a measuring tape and a mirror or a friend to assist.
Jacket
Bust:
- Measure around the fullest part of your chest, ensuring the tape is level around your back and across your shoulder blades.
- Keep the tape snug but not tight.
Waist
- This is an oversized fit so once you have enough room in your bust this will be okay.
Hip:
- Please note that our jackets do not reach the widest part of the hip as they are slightly cropped. The hip measurement for our jackets is the hem. You will find the positioning of this on your body by measuring the length of our jacket on your body, start the tape at your shoulder at the side of your neck and measure straight down, we call this the high hip.
Trousers
Hip:
- Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and bum. This is usually about 20cm (8 inches) below your waist.
- Make sure the tape is level all the way around.
Length:
- Stand straight and measure from your waist (the smallest part of your torso) to the bottom of your ankle.
Waist:
- Find the narrowest part of your waist, usually located just above the belly button and below the ribcage.
- Wrap the measuring tape around your waist, keeping it parallel to the floor. Relax your stomach and avoid sucking in.
- Please also note that all of our waists are adjustable so I would focus on the high hip measurement first.
Fit Tips
- Ski Jackets: Our Jackets are not slim fit so waist measurement is not as important as making sure there is enough room in your bust.
- The high hip/hem measurement is measured as the jacket is relaxed but please note this is adjustable so can be tightened to look more cropped or cinched if that is your desired effect.
- You might find there is extra room than you need in your size - this is due to slightly oversized fit.
- Trousers: Choose based on your hip measurement for the best fit. We offer two fit options: regular and slim.
- Our trousers can be worn rolled up as a fashion statement and to reduce the length if they are too long. We often wear ours like this to stop snow and dirt getting on the ends.

Jacket Size
Size guide for jacket is max size. The closer the body fit the more snug a fit. Please note that all of the hems are adjustable so they can be cinched in.
